What started as a 5-hectare ranch has expanded to 42 hectares of land, reflecting our long-term commitment to agriculture and our belief in the potential of the sector.
Owonikoko Ranch was established to promote modern ranching practices, animal processing and best-practice farming, while providing a platform to pilot improved farming methods in the cash and fruit crop sectors.
Over the years, we have expanded our activities beyond livestock. To supplement cattle feeding with locally available feed resources such as corn stalks, while also contributing to crop production, we have utilised parts of the Ranch for the cultivation of maize and vegetables. Through the application of good farming practices, these activities have continued to produce encouraging results.
Today, Owonikoko Ranch operates across crop production, livestock and agricultural training, providing hands-on practical training for individuals looking to gain real experience in agriculture.
The Owonikoko Ranch Management Institute (ORMI) ,is focused on practical skills development in livestock production and animal husbandry.
Our 10-year journey reflects the commitment, resilience and continuous improvement that have shaped Owonikoko Ranch. As we mark this milestone, we remain focused on building on what we have achieved, adopting better technologies and practices, and creating greater value through agriculture.
